Newspaper Index David Pool Index David Pool - Article - 27th March 1901 Missing Police Sergeant Information has been received that Sergeant David Pool, of the London Police, has gone missing after being off ill with influenza. His brother, Mr. R. Pool, Newbie, Annan, has been wired to, but he is unable to give any information regarding the disappearance. Sergt. Pool was a teacher in Noblehill School, Dumfries, before going to London, and is a son of the late Supt. Pool. The Boulogne correspondent of London Daily Mail, writing on Monday, stated that a body had been found on Sunday morning in the river Liane. It was well dressed, and the collar had the name "Pool." There is a gold signet ring with the monogram "D. P." and inscription "Mater, September 9, 1885." |
